A sweepstake got out of hand.

I built a little app for a World Cup sweepstake with my mates. Then I thought: why should we have to wait four years to do it again?

We'd got properly obsessed with the different scenarios - who needed what to finish second, whose team was about to wreck someone else's chances. Normal sweepstake stuff, except we couldn't stop doing the maths in a group chat, so I built a scrappy little app just to keep score properly.

Once the World Cup ended, the app just sat there. Felt like a waste. So I rebuilt the same idea around the Premier League and Champions League instead - something we could actually play every season, not just once every four years.

That's Rivalry.
